Dr. Ray Horton, assistant professor in the Department of English and Philosophy at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú, has been named the 2023 College English Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Council of Teachers of English/Language Arts (KCTE/LA), a state affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English.
Since 2009, the Derek Glisson Memorial Scholarship has enabled 33 students to pursue studies in agriculture at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ¹ÙÍøÈë¿Ú, thanks in large part to funds raised by the Derek Glisson Memorial Truck & Tractor Pull, held in 2017 and 2022
The Murray State News staff was recognized with 12 awards at the Kentucky Press Association (KPA) Convention in Lexington, Kentucky, including a second-place award for general excellence in the student publications class 1 category for the 2022 school year.
